supporting women among the trees
About My Practice
I’m so glad you found me here. I provide psychotherapy to women who are coping with trauma, loss, and adjustment.

Trained as a counseling psychologist, I have expertise in supporting clients from a developmental, trauma-informed, eco-feminist approach. Being a woman inherently means experiencing trauma and pain. With each new role we take on, we encounter new forms of loss and oppression. It is my goal to provide clients with a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where they can process their experiences. My clients include women who are coping with struggles such as perinatal stress and loss, medical trauma and chronic pain, and navigating new identifies and relationships. With each life phase, I walk hand-in-hand with clients through change.

My approach honors my client's individual story while also acknowledging how larger forces, such as patriarchy and healthcare systems, contribute to feelings of disempowerment and distress. While my liberation perspective focuses on how society hurts women, I also support clients in discovering ways to find community, joy, and energy for resistance. Through evidence-based methods and a compassionate, holistic approach, I help clients build resilience and reconnect with their inner strength.
One specific evidence-based way that I support women is by providing ecotherapy sessions. Ecotherapy is a walking-and-talking version of psychotherapy where I meet with clients in a public park for sessions. Not only are women isolated from one another, we are also cut off from our connection with nature. By holding sessions among the trees, we can remain grounded in the reality that like women, nature is also adjusting to constant change and she is an eager teacher.

My practice is small and simple. I do not take insurance. I am available to meet with clients online or in-person for regular ecotherapy sessions at Baxter Woods on Stevens Ave. Either format is $200 for a one hour session.
